Students have the option of purchasing hot lunch from our café or bringing their own packed lunch. For more information on the school cafe and how to sign up for hot lunches, you can visit the website at www.codringtoncafe.com.
We provide a bus service to students at an additional cost. The buses pick up and drop off at two locations on the island. Parents can contact the Office Manager for further details on the bus service.
PYP 1 to DP 2 has one class each. These classes have a maximum capacity of 16 students.
Classes begin at 8:00am and end at 3:00pm, Monday through Friday for all students PYP 1 to DP2. Enrichment activities take place between 3:00pm and 4:00pm Monday to Thursday.
To start an application for entry into The Codrington School, download the application form from the website or contact the Director of Admissions (DOA) via email at admissions@codrington.edu.bb Complete the application form. Provide all necessary documentation. The DOA will contact you via email to confirm a tentative offer or ask for additional documentation. The DOA will schedule the screening assessment. The DOA will contact you to confirm firm acceptance after the screening has been reviewed. A starter form pack containing permission slips will be email to you to be completed and signed.
The school practices a policy of rolling admissions therefore we do not have an application deadline date. Students can enter school throughout the academic year and would follow the regular application process. Please note that we have a maximum class size of 15 students and students are enrolled if space is available.
As part of the admissions process, students are required to undergo a screening assessment. Students are assessed on English and Mathematics.
Prospective students can , and are encouragedto, sigh up for what we refer to as a “Taster Day”, where they will spend a day with the class they would potentially be joining. To schedule a taster day you can contact the Director of Admissions.
A student visa is required by all non-Barbadian students studying in Barbados. The application forms for student visa can be obtained from the Barbados Immigration Department or downloaded directly from their website www.immigration.gov.bb
We have a learning support department which is designed for students who require special education services. Admission of such students is granted only if we believe the educational needs of the student can be met by The Codrington School.
